A Family Center Ask the Experts Talk with Marla Ruhana, LMSW, CSW

Evidence based research now proves the benefits of mindfulness practice. Parenting couples will have fun learning mindfulness techniques through experiential learning that increases awareness, expands perceptions and provides physiological benefits. Parents can use their skills to help children reduce their stress.

Parenting couples will learn what mindfulness is as defined by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, founder of the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center.

Parenting couples will have fun through experiential learning; increasing their awareness and exploring perceptions; Learning to practice mindfulness and exploring the many physiological benefits.
