The Brighton Center for Recovery sponsored the appearance of Detroit native, rapper Tommy Gunz, a self-described "conscious, hip-hop lyricist and performing artist in recovery," and Mark Lundholm, a comedian who tells his story of recovery and success after a lifelong battle of addiction and depression with humor and personal insights.

The performances address the stigma of addiction and barriers to recovery.

This Family Center "Ask the Experts" partnership presentation was held for over 650 Harper Woods High School students on December 1, 2016.
